Q: So, do you make T-Shirts there?

Q: Are you open on weekends?

A: We are only open by appointment on Saturdays. Give us a call if you can't make it out to see us during the week.

Q: Do you do embroidery (monograming)?

A: Not in house, but we can send it to our embroiderer, who does a fantastic job. Get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you!

A: Sorry to say, The Uncommon Sense is on indefinite hiatus.

Frequently Asked Questions - Custom Printing
Q: How much does it cost to have T-shirts printed?

A: That depends on how many shirts you order, and how many colors of ink we're printing. Higher quantity = lower per piece price. For more information on our pricing structure, click here.

Q: You don't have your prices listed here on the site... Why?

A: Much like the prices of seafood and gasoline, the prices our distributors charge for garments constantly changes.

Okay, maybe not as often as gas, but you get the picture. Plus, we're not really that optimistic when it comes to how often we update this site. Let's face it, we're screen printers, not web designers, and we'd hate to have out of date pricing on our website.

Besides, we're friendly people, and we'd love to hear from you! Give us a call at (810) 232-2887, and we'd be delighted to quote you a price!

Q: What is your minimum quantity?

A: Our minimum quantity is one piece.
For real.
Of course, the more you order, the less expensive they will be each.

Q: Can I get this photograph printed on a shirt?

A: Yep, but if you're only looking for one shirt with a full color image, it's going to be a bit pricey - in the neighborhood of 36.50 for a white shirt and 44.00 for a colored shirt. This is due to the screen printing process.

A more cost effective solution for a single shirt is heat-transfer (a kind of industrial iron-on process,) and the folks over at Cotton Plus in the Courtland Center do a spectacular job for about 22 bucks. Their number is (810) 742-1960.

Q: Can I bring in my own shirts?

A: No. You wouldn't bring a raw steak to a restaurant, and the same idea applies here. To be certain that we can guarantee the quality of the shirts and printing we provide, we only print on garments from our own sources.

Plus, we have great relationships with all our suppliers, and in most cases we're able to provide you garments at a much lower price and higher quality than you'd find yourself at your local discount or department store.

Q: Can you print Speedy Gonzales (or some other licensed character) on a shirt?

A: We will not under any circumstances infringe on the copyright of any license holder or owner. In other words, if you created it yourself, we can print it. If you didn't, we can't. No Taz, no Care Bears, no the-guy-from-Futurama.

Q: Do you charge a set-up fee or per-screen charge?.

A: No. All artwork, set-up and screen charges are included in the prices we quote. If we say your shirts are 12.50 each, they're really 12.50 each. The only additional charges you'll see are for shirts above XL in size.

Q: How much lead time / turn-around time do you need?

A: Let us know when you need your order completed. We usually ask for 10-14 days. If we need to reshuffle things to get an order done in time for your event, we can usually accommodate you. It is extremely unlikely, however, that we can have your order completed by yesterday.

Q: How should I bring in artwork:

A: Art format info is here.
